For beauty and cosmetics.

Your products come in different sizes and shapes, and next year there will be more of them. So that everything still belongs together, I design brand, packaging and website so the next product fits in naturally too.

Why it’s different

What fits today also has to fit the next product.

At PINKYPACT the brief sounded like one task: new packaging design. It was a dozen. UV gel wraps, press-on boxes, content labels – what works on a wrap pack no longer fits on a box.

If you treat every format as a separate task, you end up with lots of layouts and no brand. And with the next product it all starts again from scratch.

That’s why I first define how brand, product name, contents and image relate to each other – regardless of format and material. After that the same principle carries over to everything that comes next.

What I do for beauty brands

Brand, packaging and shop for beauty brands.

Brand & Graphic Design

A design principle for logo, packaging design and labels that carries the next product too – as with PINKYPACT.

Web Design & Development

An online shop or website whose product images promise the same as the packaging.

Portals & Applications

A retailer or partner area if you sell through salons or resellers.

What branding a beauty brand involves.

Design principle

The rulebook behind every pack: what goes where, how large, in what proportion. In writing, so it holds without me.

Packaging and die lines

Design and final artwork in Illustrator, die lines set up for every format, handed over print-ready.

Labels and mandatory information

Ingredients, batches, warnings – on the same grid as the outer packaging instead of stuck on as an afterthought.

Product images for the shop

The point where packaging projects usually fall apart. Packaging and shop have to make the same promise.

Logo and brand identity

If the brand doesn’t exist yet: wordmark and symbol, colour world, typography and imagery as a system.

Shop or website

If you like, the site as well – so the design principle doesn’t end at the counter.

Social and campaigns

Creatives for launches and promotions that come from the same world as the pack on the shelf.

Built to grow

New product lines fit into the system without renegotiating the basic principle.

Example from the industry

Packaging design for a nail design brand.

For PINKYPACT I developed a design principle that was applied to wrap packaging, press-on boxes, content labels and the product images in the shop. How it came about is in the case study.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises.

01

Review the range

All formats on the table, including the planned ones. What the system has to carry later is decided here.

02

Develop the principle

A grid that works on the smallest and the largest product. We test on the hardest case, not the prettiest.

03

Apply

Final artwork for every format, die lines set up, print files finished – not as a draft with a request to check.

04

Hand over

Files, rulebook and templates. With them you can manage the next product without me.

Before you get in touch

Are we a good fit?

Good signs

  • ✓Your range is growing and should still belong together.
  • ✓You want a rulebook, not just a pretty motif.
  • ✓Print files should go out finished, not as a draft.
  • ✓Shop and packaging should speak the same language.

Probably not

  • ×The design should ignore material and printing process.
  • ×Your budget is fixed before it’s clear what you need it for.
  • ×You want to copy the current look of a well-known brand.

The questions that come sooner or later

Answered in advance.

Who owns the site in the end?

You do. Domain, access and content run on your own accounts, and I build the site so someone else could take it over without untangling it first. That keeps you independent of me.

What if I’m not around?

You get all access details, the files and documentation someone else can read. Classes and structure are named so other developers can find their way around.

How long does it take?

That depends a lot on the scope – a website is on a different scale from a portal or an ongoing collaboration. You’ll get a reliable timeframe after our first conversation.

What does it cost?

One-page websitefrom €2,500
Multi-page websitefrom €5,000
Brand design for your companyfrom €3,500
Client portalfrom €10,000
Ongoing supportfrom €350 per month

I’ll give you the exact scope after our first conversation.
