The founder got in touch, and we met in person in Erlangen. She had a direction, first ideas and a name, but none of it was ready to take out into the world.
The task was bigger than a website: a new business in an industry where nurses can choose who they work for. Anyone who comes across as a middleman gets no applications.
That’s why I took on everything – finalised the logo and brand, organised a photo shoot, designed and built the website and developed the staff portal. On this project, every handover point would have been a risk. Instead of stock photos of smiling nurses there are real photos, and the portal was designed as part of the brand from the start, not made pretty afterwards.
The website runs in Webflow with a CMS the client maintains herself – job ads, team, news. Structure and classes are named so that someone else can find their way around.
The staff portal is custom-built with Next.js and Supabase: login, documents, uploads with type and period, plus an admin overview. Because employment contracts go through it, backups and data protection were on the list from the start, not at the end.
